To receive care from us, we require a referral. This is usually arranged through your general practitioner (GP). In addition to the referral, we also need a registration form. Our administration team will process your registration and inform you accordingly. Our intake team will carefully assess your application to determine whether your request for help aligns with our services. After that, you will be placed on our waiting list.

When it is your turn, we will invite you for an initial conversation. This intake meeting will be with two practitioners. We encourage you to bring someone you trust and feel close to, such as a parent or a good friend. During this first meeting, we will discuss your request for help and determine together whether Forte GGZ can provide the support you are looking for.

The intake serves a dual purpose. The primary purpose is for you to be able to tell your story. In addition, the intake is ideally suited for the therapist to gather all the information necessary to get a clear picture of your questions and problems. Usually one intake is sufficient but sometimes two intakes are required to get a clear picture. 

After the intake conversation, a consultation will follow. During this consultation, we will discuss our insights and create a treatment plan together with you. Sometimes, further examination is needed, such as a psychological or psychiatric assessment or an (additional) anamnesis interview. We will discuss this with you as well, so we can make a well-informed decision together.

If, after the intake and consultation (and possibly diagnostics), we decide that you will start treatment at Forte GGZ, we will start as soon as possible. Our administration team will schedule a series of treatment sessions in consultation with you. We offer various treatments—visit our treatment page for an overview. In some cases, in addition to individual therapy, we also offer group therapy sessions.

Once you have completed your treatment, we will have a final consultation. We will reflect on your treatment and assess whether the set goals have been achieved. We always aim to conclude the process on the right moment, and we try to take your preferences into account as much as possible.
