Taking medication abroad
Are you traveling abroad and taking medication with you? Then you might need a signed medical certificate. Read more about this certificate and the steps you should follow below.
It is your own responsibility to request a medical certificate. We advise you to do this early (at least 10 days before departure), otherwise you might risk that we or the CAK cannot process your request in time.
Step 1
You can request a certificate from the CAK (central office for exceptional medical insurance). The certificate you need depends on the country you are travelling to and how long you are staying.
Answer the questions on the CAK website to see which certificate you need in your situation (information in Dutch). On the same website, you can read what else you have to do.
Step 2
Send your pre-filled certificate to info@forteggz.nl. We will sign the certificate and mail it back to you.
Stap 3
Now you need to send the signed certificate back to CAK to have it legalised. If you have a Shengen certificate, you can upload the certificate on their website. If you have a certificate in English, you can only send it to CAK by post. You can read how and where to send it on this page.
